'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' is a series based on the web novel 'Trauma Center: Golden Hour', themed around medical topics, with its first season released worldwide on Netflix in January 2025. This 8-episode series topped Netflix's non-English TV show rankings, leading to high demand for a sequel.

Yein Jeong's New Character

Yein Jeong takes over the role of the nurse from Ha Young, bringing new dynamism to the work. Ha Young stepped down following allegations that her great-grandfather collaborated during the Japanese colonial era.

Alongside her, Ji-Hoon Ju (as surgeon Baek Kanghyuk), Chu Young-Woo (as Yang Jaewon), Yoon Kyungho (as Han Yulim), and Jeong Jegwan (as anesthesiologist Park Kyungwon) will reprise their roles. Director and writer Do-Yun Lee, who led Season 1, will also helm the project again.

Behind the Popular Series and Its Future

The 2nd and 3rd seasons are currently in production and are set to continue streaming exclusively on Netflix, though the exact release dates have not been announced. The original web novel was written by Han Sani, who is also an ENT specialist in real life.

The English version of the original webtoon 'Trauma Center: Golden Hour' is available on WEBTOON, with the epilogue recently released on August 9. Expectations for the series have been heightened with the casting of Yein Jeong.
