Reason for the End of Service
According to the official site, the game's staff decided to end the service as it became difficult to continually meet the expectations of fans. Additionally, sales of in-game currency and other paid items have already been halted, and information regarding refunds for any excess in-game currency is planned to be provided after the service ends.
History of "The Denpa Men RPG" Series
The "Denpa Men RPG" series first launched in Japan in February 2012 on the Nintendo 3DS, later appearing in North America and Europe as "The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave." The series expanded with three sequels on the 3DS platform, two of which were released in the West. The first free-to-play game of the series, "The Denpa Men RPG Free!," was released in Japan in July 2014, followed by "The New Denpa Men RPG" for smartphones in February 2017.
Game Content and Impact
In-game, players can use the camera to find and capture nearby "Denpa Men," form a party, and tackle dungeons. This system was unique and innovative, winning over many gamers.
"The New Denpa Men RPG" initially launched as a limited-time release on the Nintendo Switch and later became available on iOS and Android devices. Furthermore, a version for the Nintendo Switch 2 was released on April 5, 2026.
