Change to Game Key Card
SPIKE CHUNSOFT announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 release of 'Danganronpa 2x2' will be in the form of a game key card rather than a full game card. This decision was made after careful consideration and is said not to affect releases on other platforms or other games.
In conjunction with this, pre-orders for the 'Danganronpa 2x2 Psycho Tropical Vacation Package' from the SPIKE CHUNSOFT official store in America have been canceled, and re-preordering will be necessary for the game key card version. For those who pre-ordered through other means, the new game key card version will be provided.
New Scenario 'Slayhem'
In addition to the original game, 'Danganronpa 2x2' includes a new alternative scenario. The new scenario, 'Slayhem,' is said to offer approximately 35 hours of gameplay, which is 5 hours longer and adds 20% more content compared to the original game. SPIKE CHUNSOFT claims that the volume of this new story is comparable to the original.
Package Contents and Cast Changes
The 'Danganronpa 2x2 Psycho Tropical Vacation Package' includes apparel, figurines, soundtracks, and more, all housed in a stylish clamshell box. Additionally, there have been some changes to the voice cast, with Sumire Ohsama voicing Monomi and Wasabi Mizuta voicing Monokuma.
Franchise Expansion
The 'Danganronpa' series first appeared in 2012 for the PlayStation Portable and has since been developed for various platforms. The series has also been adapted into manga, anime, and other media, gaining popularity across multiple forms.
