Development of New Rivalries
Episode 7 featured the emergence of unique and comical rivalries. Notably, two male characters dressed like bikers from the '80s or '90s made an impression as they competed as rivals in Street Fighter. These characters, who maintain their biker punk style in daily life, could have been best friends in different circumstances, but fate has placed them as rivals on the stage of fighting games.
Characters Newly Highlighted in the Story
Additionally, this episode focused on characters who hadn't been deeply explored before. Special attention was given to Hana, who supervises Tamaki's dorm, and Alisa, a debate-loving girl. Although their appearances have been limited until now, this episode is likely to increase their involvement in the story.
New Facets of the Main Characters
It was revealed that Tamaki aspires to follow in her sister's footsteps, adding a new layer of depth to her character. Furthermore, Alisa showed a strong sense of self-awareness and extensive knowledge, highlighted by her attempt to confront Mio in real life—an especially intriguing scene. Additionally, whether Mio’s love for fighting games is connected to her martial arts experience might be revealed in future episodes. While her martial arts skills have been previously mentioned, this episode was the first time viewers could witness her prowess firsthand.
