'Magical Princess Minky Momo' is a magical girl anime series that began in the 1980s. It follows the story of a princess from a magical world sent to Earth to restore people's lost dreams and hopes. Cast and Story of the New OVA
In the new OVA 'Magical Princess Minky Momo: Heartfelt Duo to the Dream of Aspiration,' Tomohito Takatsuka will voice Rupert, and Yoko Hikasa will voice Peter. The characters they portray play crucial roles in the story. The narrative is set in Diginalsa, a country sustained by dream energy. However, due to the influence of people who have lost their dreams and hopes, this energy is diminishing, threatening the country's existence. In response, the king seeks help from Minky Momo.
Production Staff and Release Information
This work is directed by Ayumu Watanabe, with character designs by Hiroshi Watanabe and Mari Tominaga. The script is written by Deko Akao, music by Toshiki Hasegawa, and sound direction by Katsunori Shimizu. This OVA is the first new work in 32 years since 1994 and is scheduled for release in Japan on November 13. After a long wait, it will once again be presented to fans in a new form.
The Past and Legacy of Minky Momo
The first TV series, which aired from 1982 to 1983, was also released with an English dub in the 2000s, earning international acclaim. The first OVA, released as 'Minky Momo: My Dream's Rondo,' was also made available with an English title. Crunchyroll began streaming the original TV series in January 2024.
