Hello Kitty has been appointed as the '60th Anniversary Ambassador' for Fuji City in Shizuoka Prefecture. This initiative began because both Fuji City and Hello Kitty's birthdays are on November 1st, and as part of strengthening their relationship, various events and campaigns are being held.

Digital Stamp Rally and Special Prizes

The 'Fuji City Digital Stamp Rally' is being held from September 1 to November 30, 2026. Participants can use the official Shizuoka travel app 'TIPS' to visit designated spots in Fuji City and collect points using GPS. Depending on the number of points collected, participants can receive hologram stickers or clear files on a first-come, first-served basis. Furthermore, those who collect 20 points or more will be entered into a lottery to win a plate made with CNF (cellulose nanofiber) material featuring an original Fuji City design of Hello Kitty, with 10 winners in total.

Exclusive Collaboration Designs for Fuji City

In this commemorative campaign, an original design of Hello Kitty packed with the attractions of Fuji City is also drawing attention. Dressed in a dress inspired by Mount Fuji and the sea, she sports a ribbon featuring the city's symbol, the rose. Additionally, there are collaboration designs with the city's promotional character 'Samonyan', gaining popularity.

Special Stage at Joint Birthday Party

On November 1, 2026, the 'Fuji City × Hello Kitty Joint Birthday Party' will be held at Fuji Central Park. At this event, a special stage featuring Hello Kitty and 'Samonyan' will provide a delightful experience for attendees.

The Fuji City original design Hello Kitty plush toy is also available as a return gift for furusato nozei (hometown tax), and it has become more popular than initially planned. The number of units available has increased from the initial 120 to 1,200 due to high demand.
