A New Manhole Cover Created Together with Fans
On October 12, 2026, an unveiling ceremony for 'Romancing Saga 2026' was held at the Saga Prefectural Office, where a new manhole cover was revealed. This manhole cover was created through fan support via crowdfunding as part of the 'MinSaga Project.' A total of 7.52 million yen was raised, and the design features the final emperor (female) from 'Romancing SaGa 2' and Ellen from 'Romancing SaGa 3.'
New Projects and Traditional Craft Experiences
This year's 'Romancing Saga' highlights new projects where participants can experience traditional crafts and food culture. The new initiative 'RomaSaga Training Dojo' will offer workshops on traditional skills across eight areas in Saga Prefecture. In Saga City, participants can make stools using woodworking techniques, in Takeo City, try painting local toys, and in Imari City, make wind chimes.
Announcement of Collaborative Merchandise
This year also sees numerous collaborative merchandise between Saga Prefecture's traditional crafts and the 'Saga' series. Items such as Arita ware 'Inspiration Ramen Bowl' and 'RomaSaga Arita Year Plate 2026,' as well as new food products like 'Romancing Soba 2' and 'RomaSaga Choi Nori,' are on sale. Particularly notable is 'ABYSS BREW,' a craft beer collaboration between Square Enix and Yoshinogari's 'Game Brew,' capturing fans' attention.
